Pop-up addition

Previously extended in the 2000’s, this lovely house in the leafy suburbs gets an expanded living room to make the most of the site. The new addition pushes out to the western boundary and pops up above the main roof to let in an abundance of northern light. The small bifold doors are removed and a much larger sliding door system installed to enhance the indoor/outdoor living and increase the natural cross ventilation.

New parquetry flooring and painted brick walls extend and soften the existing material palette to create a light filled space for extended family gatherings.
