Jon Lowe

Director B.Arch (Hons), B.Des Studies

Jon began his architectural career at Nelson Architects after graduating in 2002 with first class honours from The University of Adelaide.

As a newly registered architect he moved to Greenway Architects in 2006. At Greenway, Jon led and contributed to a diverse range of award-winning projects — from low-budget residential and education projects to large-scale commercial and public buildings, including the highly commended Glenunga Community Hub.

In 2021, with a unique skill-set and portfolio of enviable quality, Jon departed Greenway to build Jon Lowe Architect.

Jon likes cycling up steep hills and making things with his young family.

Testimonials.

Jon has helped me with several residential projects over the past few years including the renovation of a heritage listed cottage at Brompton, a residential subdivision incorporating three two-storey townhouses at Brompton, a residential subdivision at Clarence Park and more recently we’ve put our faith in Jon to design our forever home at Hawthorn.

In each of these projects, Jon has been integral in obtaining relevant approvals with councils and wonderful to work with – clear, creative and very professional.

I would highly recommend Jon to anyone looking for beautiful spatial flow and high attention to detail in their new home or extension.

Jon was a joy to work with. With our complex and varied brief Jon worked with great creativity and class to pull-off a design that not only meets our needs, but also ties the elements together to create a space that is beautiful, functional, creative, and dynamic.

Jon always offered multiple solutions to design challenges, considering both functionality and of course a number of dynamic distinguishing features that we love in our home.

Achieving a light, bright, and considered home was a challenge that JLA rose to.
