Reflections from the Hortense House Clients
Jon was great to work with across the design and build process. We felt that the design process was very collaborative, and Jon never pushed ideas on us—instead, it was very much a process of all of us working together to unpack needs and possibilities. Jon had many great suggestions that really enhanced the design and helped us think differently about the space. We felt aligned the whole way through on what we wanted to achieve and were able to work together to navigate increasing costs as the project was underway.
During the build, Jon ran a tight ship and was pivotal in both securing our excellent builder and ensuring that our vision was realised. He kept on top of everything, challenged when needed, and explained the process to us well.
We are absolutely in love with our new home. It has delivered on every aspect of our design brief, and the end result is even better than we imagined. We feel connected to each other as a family and to our beloved garden, to which greater connection inspired this whole project. It is so nice to sit inside our new living space and watch the seasons change, the animals and birds that visit us, and our child playing and growing up in such a magical space.
